Dr. Mohammad Alkhalil is currently an Interventional Fellow at the Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada. He obtained his BSc Intercalation and MD Dissertation from the University of Damascus in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Later, he received MSc (Cardiology) from the Trinity College Dublin in 2012 and DPhil (Cardiovascular Medicine) from the University of Oxford in 2018. Apart from this, he received MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2009 and a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) from the Northern Ireland Deanery in 2020. Moreover, he has contributed his valuable publications in different scientific journals and has been awarded at various platforms for his outstanding contribution in his field.

He has had articles published in many well-renowned journals such as Science of the Biochimica et Biophysica Acta. and Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology.

Dr Uzoma N. Ibebuogu is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Division of Cardiovascular diseases and an Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr Ibebuogu obtained his medical degree from the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and subsequently underwent Interventional Cardiology fellowship and structural heart disease training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/the University of Los Angeles, California program. He has authored peer-reviewed articles on coronary atherosclerosis, which is one of his areas of interest, particularly in smokers and diabetic patients. His other research interests involve transcatheter aortic valve replacement therapies and ethnic disparities in the clinical presentation of acute myocardial infarction.

Dr. Pupalan Lyngkaran is a qualified Cardiologist and subspecialist in Echocardiology, Cardiac Imaging Heart Failure at HeartWest, St Vincents and Western Private Hospitals and he is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University (Northern Territory Medical School) and Notre Dame University (Melbourne Medical School). He has also won independent medical grants from government and private bodies for works in Cardiac Imaging and Heart failure. His research interests are aligned towards improving heart failure outcomes using epidemiological and imaging methods and he also collaborates with basic research in this area.

Associate Professor, Dr. Sanjay Patel is a Staff Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He is also a Group Leader at the Heart Research Institute, Sydney and Clinical Associate Professor at the Sydney Medical School. He was awarded his MBBS (Hons 1) from the University of Sydney in 2000, completed his advanced cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2006, and his doctoral studies in 2009, supported by a NHF postgraduate research scholarship. He then undertook postdoctoral studies at Stanford University, while simultaneously training in interventional cardiology at Stanford University Medical Centre (2009–2010), supported by an NHMRC CJ Martin Overseas Fellowship Grant.
