Prof. Gomaa A.M. Ali is an Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt. He has 13 years of working experience in the research area of Materials Science, Nanocomposites, Humidity Sensing, Graphene, Supercapacitors, Water Treatment, and Drug Delivery. His research Interests lie in the field of Materials Science, Nanoparticles, Graphene, Supercapacitors and Water Treatment. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Advanced Nanomaterials for Energy Storage from UMP, Malaysia. He is the recipient of some national and international prizes and awards, such as TWAS-AREP (2018), Gold Medals (Archimedes, Russia, 2014), Green Technology Award (CITREX, Malaysia, 2015), Gold Medals (British Invention Show, UK, 2015). Prof. Gomaa A.M. Ali has published over 90 journal articles and 6 book chapters on a broad range of cross‐disciplinary research fields, including advanced multifunctional materials, nanotechnology, supercapacitor, water treatment, humidity sensing biosensing, corrosion, drug delivery, and materials for energy applications. He has served as both a Senior Editor and board member of many international journals and a reviewer for more than 45 WoS journals.

Patrizia Bocchetta

Dr. Patrizia Bocchetta received Chemical Engineering Degree from University of Palermo in the year 1999 and the PhD in 2003 from Politecnico of Milano. In 2012, she became an Assistant Professor of Applied Electrochemistry at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Salento. Her main research interests focuses on (i) electrocatalytic materials for oxygen reduction reaction; (ii) novel proton exchange membranes for H 2 /O 2 fuel cells; (iii) porous anodic alumina; (iv) in-situ spectroelectrochemistry; (v) synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials; (vi) conductive and bio-compatible polymers; (vii) zn-air batteries; (viii) chitosan-based materials for energy conversion and sensors.

Yu Duan

Prof. Yu Duan obtained his Ph.D. degree (in 2001) in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from Jilin University, China. Prof. Duan is currently employed as Professor, in the College of Electronic Science & Engineering, at Jilin University. His research interests mainly lie in the subject areas / fields of organic semiconductors and optoelectronics. Other research areas include printing nanoparticle, AgNW, and graphene. Prof. Duan, as an author/co-author, has published more than 100 articles in various journals of international repute, and his documents have received total citations of over 1,160.

Ning Han

Dr. Ning Han is now doing research at the Department of Materials Engineering, KU Leuven, Belgium. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Shandong University of Technology, China. After that, he worked as a research engineer in Curtin University, Australia. He then moved to KU Leuven to pursue his PhD degree. His current research mainly lies in design and characterization of oxide-based materials with the application focus on electrocatalysis, environmental catalysis, and energy storage. He has authored and co-authored over 40 scientific papers published in international journals, and 5 granted patents.

Dr. Hui is a Team Leader & Research Council Officer at the Energy, Mining and Environment National Research Council Canada. His research interests include Inorganic materials for fuel cells, batteries, and energy conversions; Functional ceramic oxides; Mixed ionic and electronic conductors (MIEC); Photo/Electrocatalysts; H2 production; CO2 reduction; Chemical and electrochemical sensors. Dr. Hui has published over 88 manuscripts in various reputed international journals and has over 4747 total citations.

Natalia V. Kamanina

Dr. Natalia V. Kamanina is the Head of the Laboratory for Photo Physics of Media with Nano Objects at Vavilov State Optical Institute and is also currently working as a Professor of the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI.” She has an interest in the areas of investigations on inorganic soft materials of the UV and IR range, coatings, organic conjugated materials, liquid crystals, laser-matter interaction, nanotechnology, fullerenes, and biological objects. She has an experience in nanoparticles doping process of organics, in recording of amplitude-phase thin gratings in thin films as well as in developing of liquid crystal (LC) cells and spatial light modulators; she has an experience in optical limiting effect of laser radiation over visible and infrared spectral ranges, in medical applications of LC structures to orient human blood cell also. She has published more than 200 scientific papers, 5 books and 7 handbooks for the students. In parallel to her scientific activity, she has been lecturing since 2001.

Dr. Brajesh Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Head in the Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, TATA College, Chaibasa, India. He received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India. His research interest is in the development of sustainable and eco-friendly techniques for: (a) nanoparticles synthesis and their applications for environmental remediation,(b) active films of organic solar cells, (c) nanomedicine, (d) sensors, (e) natural product extraction, purification and analysis,(f) natural polymers, (g) peptide chemistry, (h) microwave and ultrasound assisted organic synthesis, and (i) organic synthesis. Dr. Brajesh Kumar has been credited for different national and international fellowships and he has also worked as a faculty member in various universities of India, Ecuador, and South Korea. He has also published numerous SCI/ SCIE/ Scopus research articles (h index = 20, Citations 1194) and also an active reviewer of more than 50 Journals.

Dr. Liqiang Wang is an associate professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He got his BS and MS degrees both from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in materials science in 2006. Then he became a graduate student in department of materials science and engineering in Shanghai JiaoTong University, where he got his Ph.D. in 2009. His research focus is towards preparing, processing and analyzing of biomedical titanium alloys and titanium matrix composites. He has been a member of many national and international committees and associations. To-date, he has contributed more than 70 journal, book and conference publications, including 10 plenary, keynote and invited talks, 5 book chapters.

Hongjing Wu

Hongjing Wu is an associate professor of Materials Physics and Chemistry at the School of Science of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi’an, China. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Applied Chemistry and Chemistry of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2007 and 2010. He earned his Ph.D. degree at Materials Physics and Chemistry, NPU, in 2014. During 2012 and 2013, he worked as a visiting scholar at Institute of Nanostructured Materials, Italian National Research Council (CNR-ISMN), supported by China Scholarship Council. In 2014, he was appointed as an associate professor at School of Science of NPU. His current research activities center on design, characterization and application of nano-oxide based materials with the focus on environmental catalysis, Li-ion battery energy storage, and electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of nano-oxide based materials. He authored and co-authored 85 scientific papers published on ISI journals in the field of materials science and energy. Publications were cited by Google scholar for more than 2978 times, H-index: 32.
