The aim of Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry is to publish short reviews on the important recent developments in medicinal chemistry and allied disciplines.
Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry covers all areas of medicinal chemistry including developments in rational drug design, synthetic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, high-throughput screening, combinatorial chemistry, drug targets, and natural product research and structure-activity relationship studies.
Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry is an essential journal for every medicinal and pharmaceutical chemist who wishes to be kept informed and up-to-date with the latest and most important developments.
Davide Barreca is an Associate Professor of biochemistry at the University of Messina. He is
specialized in enzyme modulation by natural compounds, inhibition of protein aggregation and
activation of signal apoptotic cascade. Most of his research projects concentrate on separation and
identification of unknown flavonoids, structural-activity elucidation, and biochemical analysis of
their health promoting or cytotoxicity properties on cells culture. He is author of over 90 papers in
peer-reviewed journals, 30 chapters in books, and 70 conference proceedings and reviewer of over
40 international scientific journals.
