Biography of Huan-Tsung Chang
Professor Huan-Tsung Chang obtained his Ph. D. degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from Iowa State University, USA in 1994 and became an associate professor and a professor in the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He is also an Adjunct Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan. His research focuses on Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry, Sensors, and Separation. Professor Chang is the author and co-author of more than 300 scientific papers. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2013. He was also bestowed the ‘Academic Achievement Award 2015’ by the Chinese Chemical Society.

Biography of Atta-ur-Rahman
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Kings College, University of Cambridge (1968), has 1235 international publications in several fields of organic chemistry including, 349 books published largely by major U.S. and European presses. He was elected as Fellow of Royal Society (London) (2006) and won the prestigious UNESCO Science Prize (1999).
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman was conferred honorary D.Sc. degrees by many leading world universities including the University of Cambridge and appointed an Honorary Life Fellow of Kings College, University of Cambridge. The Austrian government honoured him with its high civil award (“Grosse Goldene Ehrenzeischen am Bande") (2007). He is Professor Emeritus at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman was appointed Academician (Foreign Member) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2015). He won the “Friendship Award of China” (2014) and was conferred the highest scientific award of China, the International Science & Technology Cooperation Award, by President Xi Jinping (2020). Jianhui Huang obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of York, UK under the guidance of Professor Peter A. O’Brien in 2006. He then moved to the University of Sheffield/GSK for a postdoctoral study before starting his independent research in 2010, he joined the faculty as an associate professor of medicinal chemistry in the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology at Tianjin University. He has been a full professor since 2017. The research in the Huang group covers medicinal chemistry, semi-synthesis as well as synthetic methodology development. Professor Huang has authored over 50 publications and received the “Thieme Chemistry Journal Award” in 2017.
Dr. Donghao Li is a professor in the Chemistry Department of Yanbian University. He received his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 1992 from Yanbian University in China and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2002 from Konkuk University in Korea. After graduation, he was a post doctor at Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute (KORDI), Korea until 2005, and then he joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at Yanbian University in China. Josef Jampilek completed his Ph.D. degree in Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Charles University (Czech Republic) in 2004. Huimin Ma is a Professor of Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry in 1983 at Shandong University and Ph.D. in analytical chemistry in 1990 from the Institute of Chemistry, CAS. After a 2-year postdoctoral research at Wuhan University, Dr. Ma returned to the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, where in 1999, he was promoted to full professor. Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. in Biophysics from University of California at Davis, and completed his postdoctoral training at Stanford University and Harvard University, respectively. Fang Li has been active in waste water treatment research for over 10 years, dealing primarily with membrane separation, treatment, and reuse of textile waste water.
