Current Smart Materials, a peer reviewed journal publishes full length/mini-reviews, original research articles and thematic issues on experimental and applied research on smart materials. The scope covers contemporary and future smart materials e.g. alloys, polymers, self-healing, shape memory alloys, dielectric elastomers, thermoelectric, magnetocaloric & magnetostrictive, photomechanical, halochromic, chromogenic, piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials. Dr. Cheng Zhong is a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Tianjin University, a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), a Board Committee Member of the International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES). He is the winner of both the National “Ten Thousand Plan” Youth Talent and the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars. He received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science from Fudan University in 2004 and 2009, respectively.
